It's really strange reading everyone's reviews, because it seems like this company is sending people diffferent products. My duvet cover isn't stiff or scratchy, in fact it is very soft. However, I really doubt it is 1200 count. It is single ply (which is fine) but very thin - much thinner than my 800 count sheets.
If you look at the edging of the pillow case in the advertising photo, it looks fairly wide... mine is barely an inch and super flimsy. Also, don't let the Made in ITALY tag sway you to buy it as it did me. While the outside packaging says Made in Italy, the tag on the actual duvet cover doesn't say that... and it looks and feels like it was made in China... especially after it washing.
