At first I was a little disappointed because it was a little thinner than I expected. However, after contacting Royal Bedding, they explained that it is one ply, not 2 or 4 as are some, they felt the higher the ply , the rougher it felt, therefore they changed the product to one ply. It is so incredibly soft and beautiful to see and feel. I did decide to keep the duvet cover. Royal Bedding has also given me 15% off of the comforter I may purchase from them. They responded within minutes to my e-mail. I think for the money it is good quality, the stitching is first class. And it really is luxurious. No lie, Great company.
